David Ceraso is acutely aware of what exceptional legal representation means to a client. As a juvenile, a majority of his childhood was spent as a ward of Delaware state, where he received a guardian ad litem (GAL) by court appointment. It was from the tutelage and guidance of this GAL that David learned the necessary lessons and skills to overcome adversity, set and pursue goals to better himself, and recognize the value of being a contributing member of society.
After graduating from Dover High School, he attended Delaware State University. After three semesters, David chose to temporarily leave school behind, and within two years, joined the US Army. He first enlisted as a Combat Engineer and was stationed at Fort Irwin, National Training Center, with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. There, he worked to provide real-world training to service members preparing for deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. David reenlisted and reclassified to become a combat medic and was stationed at Fort Bliss with the 1st Armored Division, where he provided medical support to his unit.
Following his honorable discharge from the armed forces, David moved to Nebraska where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology And Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law.
In addition to his military service, David also has the distinction of working for the Department of Homeland Security in the Office of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction located in Washington, DC. During his time with DHS, David obtained his Nebraska Bar License. Shortly thereafter, he began working for the Douglas County Attorney’s Office – Juvenile Division as a Deputy County Attorney. During his three and a half tenure, he successfully prosecuted countless neglect and delinquency cases before switching to criminal defense. David now works with Liberty Law Group as a litigation attorney, focusing in the areas of criminal defense and civil litigation.
With a unique perspective as a former prosecuting attorney, David brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to every case he works. He is passionate for justice, equality before the law, and honoring the rights of citizens. Just as he once defended the Constitution in uniform, David is committed to supporting the Constitution through zealous legal representation.
