Jared Grayson is a student at Creighton University School of Law. He grew up in Papillion, Nebraska with his five siblings. Upon graduating from high school, Jared enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

In service to our nation, he volunteered for multiple deployments, serving as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq in 2008 and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan in 2010. When he was not on deployments, Jared volunteered as a firefighter and EMT with the La Vista Volunteer Fire Department and served as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

In 2013, Jared began a career as a police officer with the Lincoln Police Department where he served over 3 years until 2016, when he joined the Omaha Police Department. Jared was a patrol officer and certified drug recognition expert. During his career as a police officer, Jared earned several awards and commendations, including nomination as the 2019 Omaha Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year and 2020 Officer of the Year.

In 2018, Jared earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bellevue University. He took the Law School Entrance Exam in June 2023 and immediately applied to Creighton School of Law. He will obtain his Juris Doctor in May 2026.

Through years of sacrifice for his nation and community, Jared has a rich history of leading a life of service to others. He plans to continue in service and defense of the Constitution as an attorney following his graduation from Creighton.

In his free time, Jared enjoys taking trips to the Omaha Zoo with his family and playing poker. He and his wife, Hannah, are expecting their third child in July of 2024.
