Yazmin Senaga is a third-year law student at the University of Nebraska College of Law. She grew up in Los Angeles, California alongside her twin sister and older sister. She attended University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) alongside her twin.
She took her LSAT in November 2021 and applied to multiple schools, choosing to attend University of Nebraska due to its sizable scholarship. She will obtain her Juris Doctor in May 2025.
During law school, she worked for a summer at Monzon, Guerra, Chipman and did Criminal and Immigration law. This past summer she worked at Evans & Dixon in Omaha, where she worked in Civil defense with various lawyers. She researched and drafted memoranda on legal issues, reviewed depositions and trial transcripts, reviewed medical records, conducted legal research and summarized statutes and supported smaller projects as requested.
Since her start at law school, she has used her Spanish speaking skills to be a translator for the Immigration Clinic on campus. Additionally, she is currently involved in Moot Court, having completed two competitions (Grether and Writing Boot Camp) during her 2L year. She is currently a Moot Court Executive Board member, holding a position as Allen Chair, a competition which will take place during Spring 2025.
